This list reflects the voice of thousands of Michigan golfers and highlights the courses that left the biggest impressions. From championship-caliber designs to under-the-radar favorites, these rankings showcase the incredible depth and variety that make Michigan one of the premier golf destinations in the country.

How the Rankings Were Created

These rankings are based on vote totals from our MDG community, and every submission played a role in shaping the final list. What makes this list special is that it wasn’t determined by a panel of experts or a travel magazine — it was created by you, the everyday Michigan golfer.

We encouraged voters to use their own criteria when choosing which courses to include. That said, we offered a few key factors to consider:

• Course Design & Layout: Is the course both enjoyable and challenging?

• Condition & Maintenance: Are the greens, fairways, and bunkers in top shape?

• Scenery & Atmosphere: Does the setting add to the experience?

• Amenities & Service: How is the staff, clubhouse, and overall hospitality?

• Personal Favorites: Maybe it's not famous, but you just love playing it.

Some people chose based on strategy and design. Others voted with their hearts. Either way, the final list reflects the full spirit of Michigan golf.
