We’re excited to announce our next MDG Member For A Day event — and this one’s a truly special opportunity to play one of Michigan’s most historic private clubs.
Registration is now open for Indianwood Golf & Country Club on Monday, June 22, with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. (scroll down for tee sheet)
As always, please remember this is not a large scramble outing with prizes or activations. Instead, it’s a unique chance to play your own ball, unaccompanied, at a premier private golf club for a discounted rate.
About Indianwood Golf & Country Club
Founded in 1925, Indianwood Golf & Country Club has long been recognized as one of Michigan’s premier private golf clubs. The club’s historic Old Course has hosted several major championships throughout its storied history and remains one of the state’s most respected tests of golf.
Major Championships Hosted at Indianwood Old Course
1930 Western Open — Won by Gene Sarazen. At the time, the Western Open was considered one of the most prestigious tournaments in professional golf and is often regarded as a precursor to today’s PGA Tour premier events.
1989 U.S. Women’s Open — Won by Betsy King, one of the LPGA’s all‑time greats and a World Golf Hall of Fame member.
1994 U.S. Women’s Open — Won by Patty Sheehan, another Hall of Fame golfer and six‑time major champion.
2012 U.S. Senior Open — Won by Roger Chapman. The championship returned national attention to Indianwood and showcased the Old Course on a major stage once again.
Featuring classic architecture, tree‑lined fairways, strategic bunkering, and immaculate conditioning, the Old Course delivers a memorable experience for golfers of all skill levels.
