August in Michigan brings thick humidity and unpredictable rain. Rather than sweating through your golf shirt or getting washed out on the back nine, you can bring your tee time inside. It is the easiest way to play a full round and stay completely comfortable.

August is a major transition month for our locations across Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Rochester Hills, Novi, Royal Oak, Shelby Township, St. Clair Shores, and Woodhaven. Here is a look at what is taking over the screens this month.

1. Wrapping Up Summer Tournaments

For players who have been grinding on the virtual leaderboards all season, we have finally reached the finish line. August marks the conclusion of our biggest summer events.

  • The X-Tour Championship: The massive nationwide tournament officially closed out on Sunday, August 16. Competitors used those final days to post their best scores on elite virtual courses and battle for a spot at the top of the leaderboard.

  • Local League Finales: Summer leagues are wrapping up across Metro Detroit. Teams are battling it out in 3v3 and individual formats to secure the final cash prizes and bragging rights before the fall sessions kick off.

2. Transitioning to Fall Golf

Autumn in Michigan offers some of the best golf of the year. August is the prime time to utilize our industry-leading technology to ensure your bag is completely dialed in before the leaves change.

  • Know Your Numbers: The real-time data provided by the simulators tracks your launch angle, club path, and spin rate. It is the perfect opportunity to book a lesson with a PGA professional to refine your swing mechanics.

  • Equipment Testing: With the fall season approaching, players are using the bays to test new clubs and verify their exact yardages. This ensures total confidence when you transition back to outdoor play.

3. August Casual Nights Out

You do not need to be a scratch golfer to enjoy the bays. As the summer winds down, our locations remain the ultimate spot for group entertainment and great food.

  • Eat and Play: Families and friend groups are skipping the traditional restaurants and hitting the simulators. Players can enjoy a full bar and a menu featuring wings, pizza, and giant soft pretzels while playing famous courses.

  • Community Events: Venues are continuing to host charity scrambles and relaxed social clinics. These create a pressure-free environment for golfers of all skill levels to socialize and enjoy the game.

Step Into the A/C

Whether you are getting your yardages dialed in for the fall or just want a relaxed night out with friends, the bays are waiting. Grab your clubs, escape the August heat, and head over to your nearest venue to keep your swing sharp.
