The Ally Challenge week in Grand Blanc is about to get even more exciting with the arrival of two-time major champion and golf legend John Daly at Sugarbush Golf Club in Davison, MI. Daly, known not only for his powerful drives but also for his larger-than-life personality, will be hosting a two-day charity event that combines his love for golf and music.
On August 19th, 2024, the event kicks off with a unique experience—a live outdoor concert performed by Daly himself. Guests will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and select beverages, all while participating in a silent auction. It’s a rare opportunity to see the golf icon in a completely different light, showcasing his musical talents in an intimate setting.
The following day, August 20th, participants will take to the course with Daly for a full day of golf. The event begins with breakfast at 7:30 am, followed by a shotgun start at 9:00 am. Throughout the day, players will have the chance to interact with Daly, and the event will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony at the clubhouse.
What makes this event truly special is its purpose. Proceeds from the John Daly Charity Classic will go to the John Daly + Major Ed Heart of a Lion Foundation, supporting children, first responders, and veterans—a cause close to Daly’s heart.
Mike Sullivan, Founder of Metro Detroit Golfers, shared his enthusiasm for the event: "This is such a cool and unique event for golf fans. To have the chance to play with a legend like John Daly, enjoy a live concert, and support a great cause all in one weekend—it’s an unbeatable combination. The value of what you get out of this experience is tremendous, and it's for an important cause that really makes a difference."
This event is set to be a memorable blend of sport, entertainment, and philanthropy, bringing together golf enthusiasts and fans of Daly for a great cause. For more information or to register, visit the event’s official page right here.
