As one of the premier golf destinations in the country, Boyne Golf continues to set the standard for resort golf—and 2026 is shaping up to be another strong season.

In a recent Lesson on Golf segment, longtime Director of Marketing Ken Griffin shared updates on course openings, early-season deals, and the recognition that continues to elevate Boyne on a national level.

Boyne Golf operates 10 championship courses across its northern Michigan properties, making it one of the most expansive golf resort networks in the region.

As spring conditions improve, the expected rollout includes:

  • Initial course openings in late April

  • Multiple courses opening by early May

  • Full access across all 10 courses by the second week of May

Because of Boyne’s unique layout—where skiing and golf can overlap—early-season conditions often vary. At Boyne Mountain Resort, for example, skiing may still be active on one side while golf begins on the other.

Early Season Tee Time Deals

To kick off the season, Boyne is offering limited-time pricing designed to attract early play:

  • Morning tee times on The Heather: $95

  • Dune Break (9-hole short course): $33

These deals are expected to run from early May through the end of July, giving golfers a strong incentive to plan early-season trips.

A Nationally Recognized Golf Destination

Boyne Golf continues to earn recognition beyond Michigan.

Most recently, it was ranked:

  • #3 Golf Resort in the United States by USA Today (10Best rankings)

This type of national exposure reinforces what many Midwest golfers already know—Boyne is not just a regional destination, but a national contender.

Built on Experience, Not Just Courses

While the number of courses is impressive, Griffin emphasized that Boyne’s reputation comes from the full experience:

  • Course variety across multiple properties

  • Stay-and-play packages

  • Dedicated guest services to simplify trip planning

For visiting golfers, that means more than just booking tee times—it’s about creating a complete golf getaway.

Planning Your Trip

Golfers can explore tee times, packages, and availability directly through Boyne’s official site. Guest experience teams are also available to help build custom itineraries across multiple courses and properties.

With peak season approaching quickly, early planning is key—especially for groups looking to take advantage of seasonal pricing.

Lesson on Golf is hosted by Jeff Lesson and produced by Make The Turn, the team behind Metro Detroit Golfers—one of the largest golf communities in Michigan.

The show highlights courses, destinations, and golf experiences across the state.
